The museum \u201cPokuttia\u201d is created to preserve samples of material and<\/p>\n

spiritual culture of the region in 2009. It is situated in a historical building<\/p>\n

which is more than 100 years old.<\/p>\n

Seven exhibition halls contain hundreds of interesting<\/p>\n

ethnographic exhibits, embroidered clothes, ceramic items, big<\/p>\n

collection of icons and photographs from a hundred years ago.<\/p>\n

One of exhibits recreates almost the whole process of production of a homespun<\/p>\n

cloth, which will be used to sew clothes and other everyday items such as<\/p>\n

bench blankets, carpets, tapestries and many other things.<\/p>\n

fabrics<\/p>\n

The collection of embroidered clothes contains tens of embroidered shirts, both female and<\/p>\n

male ones.<\/p>\n

In 2021 the museum presented a new exhibit \u2013 a collection of bricks with stamps. \nThese<\/p>\n

bricks are collected on different facilities in Horodenka such as ruins of Horodenka<\/p>\n

sugar mill, missionary monastery near the church of Mary`s Immaculate Conception<\/p>\n

in Horodenka. Some bricks are brought from Ivano-Frankivsk, where they were<\/p>\n

found at the remains of Austrian and Polish houses (the end of 19th century \u2013 the 30th<\/p>\n

of 20th century).<\/p>\n
