The museum “Pokuttia” is created to preserve samples of material and
spiritual culture of the region in 2009. It is situated in a historical building
which is more than 100 years old.
Seven exhibition halls contain hundreds of interesting
ethnographic exhibits, embroidered clothes, ceramic items, big
collection of icons and photographs from a hundred years ago.
One of exhibits recreates almost the whole process of production of a homespun
cloth, which will be used to sew clothes and other everyday items such as
bench blankets, carpets, tapestries and many other things.

The collection of embroidered clothes contains tens of embroidered shirts, both female and
male ones.
In 2021 the museum presented a new exhibit – a collection of bricks with stamps. These
bricks are collected on different facilities in Horodenka such as ruins of Horodenka
sugar mill, missionary monastery near the church of Mary`s Immaculate Conception
in Horodenka. Some bricks are brought from Ivano-Frankivsk, where they were
found at the remains of Austrian and Polish houses (the end of 19th century – the 30th
of 20th century).
